Hitech announce Eduardo Coseteng and Daniel Mavlyutov for British F4
Hitech Grand Prix are pleased to announce Daniel Mavlyutov and Eduardo Coseteng in their 2022 ROKiT F4 British Championship line up. The team will expand their operations into Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series for their first season in a new era for the championship under Motorsport UK’s organisation.
Filipino driver Eduardo Coseteng is no stranger to the series, claiming one podium and three fastest laps in his maiden British F4 season last year. With consistent, point-scoring form all season long, he also scooped two Rookie victories in an impressive campaign. Coseteng also competed in the GB3 season finale at Donington Park in October last year. The 18-year-old’s experience on the UK’s notoriously-challenging circuits could prove vital as the team aim to hit the ground running. He commented:
“I am extremely grateful and excited to be joining Hitech in the upcoming 2022 British F4 season. I would like to thank everyone involved such as my sponsors Petron Corporation and Autoplus sports centre and of course my parents and my other supporters. I can’t wait to start the 2022 season especially with this great team behind me working together to reach extraordinary heights.”
Joining Coseteng will be Daniel Mavlyutov. The 17-year-old made his racing car debut at the Formula Ford Festival last October. He followed up with an outing at the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone and the Champion of Brands, impressing on each of the three occasions. He added:
“I am excited to be joining Hitech for the impressive new gen-F4 series. This will be my first ever full race season of any category, so in terms of car & circuits, I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”
This year will see the introduction of the new second-generation FIA F4 car, complete with a Halo-style safety device, reinforced side anti-intrusion panels and on-board safety signalling systems. The British F4 season commences at Donington Park on 23-24 April across ten rounds, and thirty races, with action broadcast live on ITV4.
British F4 Team Manager Dominic Stott, added:
“We are excited to welcome both Eduardo and Daniel onboard for the 2022 season. The team have been working hard to have the new cars ready and the work we have already done on track will hopefully allow us to have a strong start to the season. With Eduardo we have a podium finisher in the series’ previous guise, so we look to build on that by challenging at the front consistently. We aim to give Daniel as much experience as possible to progress in his first full year of racing to maximise his potential.”
